This large U.S. study using NHANES data shows that higher adherence to the Planetary Health Diet Index is associated with lower chronic kidney disease prevalence, better kidney function, and reduced CKD-related mortality. Protective effects were strongest for diets rich in nuts, vegetables, and legumes.
