This GAIN Working Paper (No. 63) analyses 26,015 collective bargaining agreements across global and national databases to assess how workforce nutrition is reflected in formal labour arrangements. It finds that explicit references to nutrition are rare, with breastfeeding support receiving the most attention, while contextual clauses on meals and health are common. The paper highlights collective agreements as an underused tool for advancing workforce nutrition and occupational health.
