This 2025 final report under the Initiative on Climate Action and Nutrition (I-CAN), led by Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition in partnership with Three Stones International, assesses how well Cambodia integrates climate and nutrition across 32 national policies.
Using the I-CAN Baseline framework, the study finds that while progress has been made—especially through the Third National Strategy for Food Security and Nutrition (2024–2028) and the National Climate Change Action Plan for Public Health (2020–2024)—only 6% of policies show strong climate–nutrition integration.
Key gaps include fragmented coordination, limited domestic financing, weak data and monitoring systems, and low private sector engagement. The report recommends strengthening institutional leadership, increasing national budget allocations, improving monitoring systems, and empowering sub-national actors to better align climate resilience with nutrition security.
